Hatie Parmeter

Hatie Parmeter grew up a writer and followed that passion to earn a Magazine Journalism degree in Chicago. She has been “outdoorsy” forever, growing up in Northern Minnesota where she spent summers in the lake and winters on the (frozen) lake. She loves paddling canoes, hiking with her dogs, and being a board member for the wilderness camp she grew up attending (Camp Widjiwagan!).

  • Education: BA in Magazine Journalism from Columbia College Chicago
  • Certifications: 200-hr yoga teacher cert, 95-hour yoga teacher cert, WFA and just finished an Advanced Mental Health Wilderness First Aid cert

Parmeter has also written for REI, The Dyrt, Hipcamp, AAA, Trails Magazine, and runs an online publication called Women of Heart and Outdoor Adventure Magazine aka Whoa Mag.
