Forest Houses Resort is a 20-acre property with 16 cozy, rustic cabins in the heart of Oak Creek Canyon. There's no shortage of things to explore nearby.
To get to the Forest Houses, you must pass over Oak Creek, where the secluded property awaits on the creek bank above.
In the middle of the property is a large grassy area, perfect for relaxing before heading inside or tackling a nearby hike.
Each cabin has a fireplace with plenty of wood stocked nearby. There are no TVs here and cell service is weak, so it's the perfect spot to unwind and recharge.
At the end of the property is a trail that follows the creek, with plenty of spots to explore and rock-hop along the water.
As you get closer to nearby Bootlegger Picnic Area, you'll hit the A.B. Young Trail, which switchbacks up the canyon, eventually arriving at the East Pocket Fire Lookout Tower and its impressive views.
When you get back to the Forest Houses, check out the footbridge spanning Oak Creek - the perfect spot to get overhead creek views and a glance at some of the cabins closest to the water.
