Visiting Leavenworth, you’ll feel as if you’ve somehow transported to Bavaria. Sitting on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains with its rocky backdrop and dramatic peaks, this charming Washington town looks like it could be in the European Alps.
That’s exactly what inspired the town’s conscious transformation into a Bavarian village in the 1960s. It’s been a thriving tourist destination ever since. Leavenworth has something in every season for to give you a taste of Bavaria, although the vibrant foliage and festivals of the fall make that a personal favorite for many.
Because it’s a special town, you should make sure you pick one of these airbnbs in Leavenworth that are also special – you don’t want to stay in a chain hotel when everything else on your trip is unique. These airbnbs will be ideal bases for exploring Leavenworth’s many delights.
